Description

Spinalonga knew as the island of lepers a leprosy (hospital) founded in 1903 for isolation as suffering from Hansen’s disease and remained open until 1957 where the last 20 patients were transported to a leprosy in Athens. On this trip you will have the opportunity to see the old town of Rethymno in the morning for coffee. In the subsequent stop at St George the Selinari for pilgrimage. Visit to the spinalonga, Relaxing bath and lunch. Afternoon visit to the center of Heraklion, Free time. Return to Chania.
